And Now… Anime NYC 2027?!

The timing of writing this couldn’t have been more perfect.

Literally moments before I started putting my thoughts together, Anime NYC 2027 was announced for August 26–29, 2027 and it will be the 10-year anniversary!

So yeah…

I’m already planning for 2027. 😂

After spending years wondering whether I should finally attend a convention, apparently all it took was ONE Anime NYC for me to start planning the next one a year in advance.

You Cosplayers Got Me

I also have to give a huge shoutout to all of the cosplayers.

You were AMAZING.

Seeing so many different interpretations of characters  both characters I knew immediately and characters I had absolutely no idea about   was one of my favorite parts of the entire convention.

The amount of creativity, work, personality, and passion that goes into some of these costumes is incredible.

And apparently…

I’ve been bitten by the cosplay bug too.

After seeing everything this year, I 100% plan on putting together a cosplay of my own for Anime NYC 2027.

What exactly will it be?

We’ll see. 😈

More than anything, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you to the Anime NYC staff.

Thank you to the cosplayers.

Thank you to everyone I interacted with.

And thank you to the entire community for making someone attending their very first convention  and doing it solo  feel completely welcome.

I went into Anime NYC 2026 not really knowing exactly what to expect.

I left knowing one thing for certain:

This will absolutely not be my last convention.

Anime NYC 2026 was something special, and I’ll always remember it as the convention that finally got me through the door.
